I've worked mainly in JavaScript
(React and Node) and SCSS, on shopping-related products.
With a background in books and writing, I'm a strong
communicator with both engineers and non-engineering
stakeholders. I work best in creative, collaborative
environments.
I create templates and reusable modules for Dotdash Meredith’s
40+ publications (including InStyle, Martha Stewart Living, Food
& Wine, and more).
Previous
Part-time React Developer at Chill Subs
I implemented feature requests and style updates, which were
based on Figma templates created by our Design team. I was part of a small
international team with 4 engineers.
Software Engineer at Casper
As a front-end engineer on Casper's Shop team, I worked with Design
and Product to build CMS-friendly, React-based pages. Our team ran multiple A/B
tests for promotions and product launches.
Software Engineer at Refinery29
As a front-end engineer on the Shopping team, I was a primary
front-end contributor to the product detail and
product list pages. I also helped update
our CMS to save editors time when creating products.
Software Engineering Intern at Refinery29
As one of two engineers on the then smaller Shopping team, I helped
create a programmatic weekly department email that contained
statistics about the top products on Refinery29's site. I also
contributed to a proof-of-concept in which we used a third-party API
to backfill Refinery29's database with more complete product information.
Web Development Immersive Student at General Assembly
While at GA, I learned how to build user-friendly games and websites
using JavaScript, Ruby, MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.
